I played hyla's cresent for severeal hours now. All mines are depleted and it's almost impossible to sustain the colony. But I can't finish the mission, because there's no mission target. According to the Mission Log, there should be a unknown object like in the mission before, but it's nowhere to be found.

I have the same problem but i played the map again and with the second try i found the object and picked it up , but it didnt count !!! So again no way to finish the map because once you picked up the object its gone.

Are you guys sure you're playing with the latest version of the game -- 0.1.13203 or later?

I tested this a bunch but was unable to reproduce the bug.  Also, I did fix an issue related to quest completion when picking up artifacts earlier in the week -- so it seems to me you may not have been playing with 0.1.13203  ...

I played it some days ago with version 13041. I'll download the latest version later today and I'll check if the unknown object is now on the map.

Any hints where I can find it on the map? The mission log tells me to build my base around the lake, so I assume the object is somewhere near the big lake in the middle.

On this build version you can build something just ON the object. In that case it dissapear ... :/

If you want an advice : [SPOILER] try to expend your colony in all the lakeside, like an port-town ... all the stuffs near the lake, and in rush mode because lack of iron ... on the end you will see the artifact ... when you reach the end of the mission, there is a "show me..." on the panel advice, try that to find the artefact.

now I'm on Version 13203 but the object is stil not there.

I also started a new game, still no unknown object. I'll send the savegames to you.

It's there, it's just kind of hard to see -- we're going to tweak the underlying terrain to make it a bit more visible.

@Niteruner: Compared to the previous missions it is a very small artefact. Took me some time to find it too.

@Chaosninja: In my game the artefact was placed in my Research Lab to be studied like a normal tech.

If only the trade centre would allow to trade food for nanites...

Just to clarify. It was obviously my fault that the artifact couldn't be collected. 

I just didn't do enough missions to unlock it. I bypassed the lack of iron and copper by converting kelko into nanites. It's super inefficient, but does the deal one the ressources are gone.
