If PC people can't get the beta through itch.io what about people on consoles? Are we all in the dark until retail launch?

Yes, we recommend that everyone wait for the full retail launch.  We're currently updating the customers who joined the beta via itch.io but we recommend that everyone else hang tight and wait for the full retail launch in Q2 of this year.
